Hello friends and happppppy Wednesday! It finally feels like fall here in Nashville, and it’s getting me in the mood to share a few more fall spaces in my home. YAAAY!! Today, I thought it would be fun to show you how I styled and decorated my farmhouse style fall mantel. Mantels are one of my favorite spaces to decorate because the ideas are endless. I decided to go a different direction than I did last year and do a pretty DIY garland. So so excited with how it all turned out. Hope you like how I styled this space for fall!
Before we start with the mantel, I wanted to start with a full view of my living room. Last week, I shared a few changes to this space including how I added this beautiful new rug. You can see all the details HERE. I just love how it pulled everything together including my fall decor. Love this rug!!
Fall Mantel Decor
And here is my fall mantel!! Out of all the spaces I’ve decorated this year, this one might be my favorite. I went with a mix of wood tones, gold touches, and a bold neutral garland with pops of color. I played around with the garland until I got it just right. That’s always the fun part about making your own garland. You can add and takeaway until it’s perfect for your space.
DIY Fall Garland Details
The base of the garland is my favorite stems from Chic Artique. If you have been around for a while, you know that I am totally obsessed with this stem. I use it all year round and love how natural it looks. I then layered it with a few stems from Hobby Lobby. Finally, I finished it off with some white pumpkins. See, SO simple, and I love the statement it makes.
I love to make a statement in the center of my mantel and usually decide to layer a couple of pieces together. This year, I went with a large tobacco basket with this sign from Oh Sweet Skye in the center of it. Love the statement these two make together!
I hope you liked how I put my fall mantel together this year. I had so much fun getting creative and making something that I love. Whether you buy or make your garland, I think it’s a fun addition to any mantel. Please let me know if you have any questions and thanks for visiting the blog!!
